This Cookie Policy explains how BtoE, a service operated by Geeta Systems, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or applications. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Essential cookies are needed for BtoE to work and are always on. Functional cookies are set only when you make a choice, such as picking your study programme, and referral cookies are set when you open a referral link. You can clear or change them at any time.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and keep you securely signed in across pages and visits.

3. Cookies We Use

Our sign-in cookies are marked httpOnly and Secure (sent over HTTPS only) with SameSite set to Strict, so page scripts cannot read them and they are not sent with requests from other websites. They apply across btoe.in and its subdomains, including the secure resource viewer.

Essential cookies are required for the Services to function (e.g., staying logged in) and cannot be disabled without losing access to your account. Functional cookies personalise your experience and can be cleared or changed at any time. Referral cookies are not needed to use BtoE; they only record a referral link you opened so the person who referred you can be credited.

We do not currently use any analytics tools.

Login session records (not cookies)

When you sign in, we also record your device's IP address and browser user-agent on our servers as part of your login session. This is not stored in a cookie. We use it to keep your account secure and to enforce the limit of 5 signed-in devices per account.

We do not collect your IP address in the secure resource viewer.

Secure viewer links (not cookies)

Protected resources open in the secure viewer through a one-time session link that is valid for 2 hours. It is a link, not a cookie, and it is checked against our records when it is opened.

Referral link records on our servers

Besides the two referral cookies above, when you open a referral link we record a random click ID, a hashed (one-way) form of your IP address, your browser user-agent, and the referring page on our servers, so we can credit the person who referred you within the 30-day window. 4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can manage functional cookies in two ways:

Through the “Study programme” card in your account Settings, where you can change or clear your choice

Through your browser's cookie settings, which let you block or delete cookies

Blocking essential cookies in your browser will prevent you from staying signed in to BtoE. Blocking referral cookies simply means a referral may not be credited.

5. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use. We will update the “Last Updated” date whenever we make changes, and material changes will be notified as described in our Privacy Policy.
